1. Who we are

This website is operated by International Ecommerce Ventures HK Limited (“we”, “us”, “our”), trading as Steel & Cane, a company registered in Hong Kong under company registration number 81432761, with its registered address at Flat 2304, 23/F, Ho King Commercial Centre, 2-16 Fa Yuen Street, Mong Kok, Kowloon, Hong Kong. 2. These terms

These terms apply to every order placed on this website. By placing an order you confirm that you have read and accept them, together with our shipping policy, returns and refunds policy and privacy policy. You must be at least 18 years old to place an order.

3. Products

Our products are newly made furniture and lighting in the style of classic modernist designs. They are not vintage, antique or licensed designer products, and any reference to a design period or movement describes the style only. We describe and photograph our products as accurately as we can, but colours on screen, the grain of natural materials such as cane and leather, and small details may vary slightly from the photographs. Dimensions are approximate.

4. Prices and payment

All prices are in US dollars and include delivery to the contiguous United States. Payment is taken in full when you place your order, through our payment provider. If a product is listed at an obviously incorrect price because of an error, we will contact you before dispatch and you may either pay the correct price or cancel for a full refund.

5. Orders

After you order, we send an email confirming that we have received it. A contract is formed when we confirm that your order has been accepted. We may decline or cancel an order, for example if a product is unavailable or we cannot deliver to your address, in which case we refund any payment in full.

6. Delivery

Delivery is described in our shipping policy. Delivery dates are estimates. Risk in the products passes to you on delivery, and ownership passes to you once we have received full payment.

7. Returns, refunds and cancellations

You can cancel before dispatch and return items within 30 days of delivery as set out in our returns and refunds policy. Nothing in these terms affects your rights under the consumer protection laws that apply to you.

8. Product care and use

Please follow any care and assembly instructions supplied with a product and use it only for its normal purpose. Lamps must be used with bulbs of the type and wattage stated and connected to a standard household outlet.

9. Our liability

We are responsible for loss or damage you suffer that is a foreseeable result of our breaching these terms or failing to use reasonable care. We are not responsible for business losses, or for loss or damage caused by misuse, incorrect assembly or normal wear and tear. Our total liability for any order is limited to the amount you paid for it, except where the law does not allow such a limit, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence or for fraud.

10. Website content

The text, images and design of this website belong to us or our licensors. You may view them for personal use but may not copy or reuse them commercially without our permission.

11. Events outside our control

We are not responsible for delays or failures caused by events outside our reasonable control, such as carrier disruption, natural disasters or government action. If such an event delays your order significantly, you may cancel it for a full refund.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region. If you are a consumer, you also keep the protection of the mandatory laws of the place where you live, and you may bring a claim in the courts of that place.

13. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The version in force when you place your order applies to that order.
